It's Been Awhile & Micah Earned Bumblebee

Wow! I didn't realize it had been so long since I posted last. I hope you enjoy these pictures. As you can tell, we've been having a lot of fun!
Here is Micah with his latest prized possession: Bumblebee from the Transformers series. He is really into Transformers right now and wanted this toy. We decided that it would be best for him to have to earn it, so we made a chart and set a goal for 12 stars. Once he had earned all 12 stars, then we could go to the store and buy Bumblebee. It took a little longer than we had expected, but Micah finally earned all 12 stars. Last nite, Heath took him to Target to get his toy. Micah was so excited to get it and he has not put it down. He even slept with it last nite.
Here is Micah with Uncle Beau. Last weekend, Beau ran a half marathon. The next day, his feet were really hurting so he filled the bath tub with water and Epsom Salt and soaked in it. Micah thought it looked fun, so he took off his shoes and joined right in.

Abby is 10 months old now and is growing up so fast. One day, I put her down for a nap and she would not go to sleep. I let her cry for a few minutes and then went in to get her. I found her like this. She was holding on to her crib so tightly as if she was saying, 'Hmmm....how can I get out of here myself?"

Here is Micah with Uncle Jeremy. A few weeks ago, we were in Rexburg for a long weekend. Micah loves his uncles because they are all so good to him. He's a lucky boy because he has 6 of them.
Micah and Jeremy

Here is a picture of Abby and Popi. Our kids are so lucky to have 4 grandparents who love them so much.

While we were in Rexburg, Gammy got Micah this new swimming suit. It's a Spider Man wet suit with a built in floatation device. Micah loves it and tries to put it on just about every day. Actually, the first day he got it, he tried to sleep in it.

Here is Abby in the swimming pool at Gammy and Popi's house. You can just see how much fun she is having.

Here is a picture of Abby just before we went out to the pool. She was all decked out in her swimming suit and sun hat. Isn't she adorable?

Micah loved the alligator floaty. He rode it like it was a horse.

Here is Micah and Uncle Ian just before we went out to the pool. Micah could hardly wait to get out there.

Micah adores his uncles.

Abby just loves to play with toys. She thinks she's just as big as Micah and can play with anything. She wants to play with whatever he is playing with. As you can tell from this picture, she was playing with cars on a track.

Sorry! I can't delete this.

Uncle Ian gave Micah some sea shells. Here he is with a star fish. It's his favorite. He plays with it all the time and has named it, "Patrick." Those of you who are familiar with Spongebob will recognize that. :)

The week before we went to Rexburg, Gammy came here and stayed with us. She brought Abby this adorable little beret. Doesn't she look cute in it?

I swear, this girl should be a baby model. :)

Our Little Firecrackers, Abby is Growing Up, & Micah Wrestles his Bear

Last week was the 4th of July. That is normally one of my favorite holidays because my home town usually has a really fun celebration. So, we got up early Friday morning and traveled to Annabella. Let's just say that it was disappointing. It just was not what I had remembered. However, Micah did finally run in a race! That I was excited about. We've tried to get him to do it every year and this year, he finally did it. Actually, he ran two races. For the three-year-old race, he got a little nervous and didn't really get into it. So, as soon as it was over, he took off and ran his very own race. Then, when it was the four-year-old's turn, he wanted to race again. I figured that no one would care, unless he won and then they might have to verify his age (yeah right). :)
Anyway, here is a picture of Micah and Abby all dressed up in their new 4th of July outfits. As you can tell, Abby's dress was a little bit big on her and it kept falling down. I did fix it later and it looked a lot better.

Here is Abby drinking formula from her sippy cup. Yep, that's right, she's drinking formula. She has been officially weaned and I think it was a lot harder on me than it was on her. The only time she really seems to miss nursing is at night. It's just another reminder to me that my babies are growing up. I know they are only 3 and 9 months, but the time has gone by quickly.

See what I mean? Abby is looking more grown up every day.

Here is a pic of Abby crawling away from the laundry basket. She loves to try to climb in it when I'm folding laundry.

Now that she is mobile, Abby is all over the place. If we forget to close a door, she will promptly crawl right in there.

The other day, Micah got this gigantic bear out of the storage closet and played with it all day. When it was time for lunch, I told him to sit at the table. The next thing I know, the bear is sitting at the table too. Micah was laughing and smiling from ear to ear about it. I asked Micah what the bear wanted to eat and he said, "Hash browns & eggs."

Later in the day, I was folding laundry in the living room when I hear Micah yelling, "Help me! Help me!" I ran into the kitchen to find this. I started laughing and Micah said, "The bear got me, mom!"

It looks like Micah won the wresting match with the bear.

Smarty Pants

Micah is a smarty pants. Today, when I picked him up from preschool, his teacher told me that at snack time, Micah was teaching all the kids how to say, "eat" and "thank you" in sign language. I taught Micah some signs when he was a baby, and now I am teaching them to Abby. Micah loves it and helps me teach Abby. I just thought this was so cute and that our blog readers would get a kick out of it too.

Bear Heath Garner

Micah says the cutest things. When you ask him his name, he will proudly exclaim, "Micah Heath Garner"! Well, the other day, he was carrying this teddy bear all over, so I asked him if his bear had a name. He looked at me, thought for a second and said, "Bear Heath Garner"!
Here is a picture of Micah with Bear Heath Garner.

This is a picture of one of the projects Micah made at Preschool. It is a picture of a large hand and then he painted his own hand, so that it looks like his hand is on top of the larger hand. He made it for Heath for Father's Day. He was so proud of it that he gave it to Heath the day he made it. He just couldn't wait until Father's Day.

I know this isn't a very good picture, but I just had to post it because it is so cute. This is a picture of a bookmark Micah made in nursery. He gave it to Heath for Father's Day. Seeing Micah make these cute little things and get so excited about them is really cute.

Here is Abby posing for a picture. She was particularly smiley this day, so I had to snap a shot. Doesn't she have the cutest smile and the most beautiful blue eyes?

We had a load of top soil brought in so we could put in a garden. We let Micah play in it for a couple of days before Heath spread it onto the garden. He had so much fun playing in the dirt. He would go from the dirt to the swimming pool to the trampoline over and over again. He loves playing outside and has been out so much this summer that he looks like a little Indian. He is so dark and tan.

This is a picture of our own little Napoleon Dynamite. Micah loves his snow boots and is constantly putting them on.

Micah's First Day of Pre-school & Abby is a Fashionista!

Micah started preschool last week. He goes twice a week, on Tuesday's and Thursday's. His teacher is Miss Stephanie and he loves her!. Last week, Micah learned about Father's Day and Flag Day. Each day, he came home with cute little projects that he had made. He was so proud of them. As we drove home each day, Micah would tell me about his day and all the fun things he had done. He loves it so much that he wakes up every day and asks to go to school.
Here is a picture I took just before we left for Micah's first day. I can't believe my baby is 3-years-old and is going to preschool. When I dropped him off the first day, I got a little teary. I was so excited for him to have the opportunity, but it got to me that he's growing up and doing things on his own. If I had this hard of a time with preschool, I don't even want to think about Kindergarten. :)

Abby and Grandpa. Abby definitely has grandpa's chin.

I just love this picture. Too cute!

Abby and Grandma. This picture, as well as the ones with grandpa, were taken last week just before they left to go back to Annabella. Abby and Micah were so sad to see them go.

Every time I dress Abby in something new, I think it's her cutest outfit. She has so many clothes and looks adorable in all of them. Here are a few pics of our little Fashionista, Abigail Valerie Garner.

Lauren took this picture last weekend. Can you believe how cute Abby is? Thanks, Lauren for capturing this moment with your amazing eye.

Adorable! Heath thinks this picture gives us a glimpse of what Abby will look like as she grows up.

Cute!

Even cuter!

Abby loves to play. She likes this toy because it makes all sorts of noise. The more noise, the better for her.

Micah and Abby playing together. I missed the exact shot here, but Micah was being so cute with Abby. He had her laughing hysterically.

We take a lot of walks together. Here are Micah and Abby in the stroller together. Micah likes to ride this way because he feels like he is holding Abby.

Here is a picture of Micah and Zoey. They were playing ghosts this day. They wrapped up in blankets and chased each other all over the house.

We've Been Having Lots of Fun!

Sorry it's been so long since I've updated our blog. I didn't realize that it had been so long since my last update. I got an email from a friend in Seattle telling me that she checks our blog everyday and that she was getting anxious to see some new pics. So, these are for her! We're so glad to have such good friends and family that take the time to read our blog. Now, if we could just get a few of you to sign the guestbook. :)

We went to Rexburg, ID over Memorial Day weekend to visit Heath's side of the family. It was a really nice trip, but it rained the whole time. Heath was really looking forward to golfing with his brothers and dad, but they ended up getting rained out. It was still fun getting to visit with family. Micah and Abby had a blast too.
Here is a picture of Abby playing in the Lego wagon. She loved being pulled around in this thing.
Here are Micah and Ethan watching a movie. As you can see, they are both in their pajamas. I think this picture was taken close to 10:00 p.m. and they were still going strong.
This is uncle Jeremy. He's a great uncle and he is really good to Micah and Ethan. Micah calls him, "Mermy."

Here is Abby in the new outfit that Gammy got her. She looks cute in everything, but we thought this outfit was especially cute on her.

Micah and Jeremy. It's a good thing Jeremy is patient.

Here are Micah, Abby and Zoey. As you can see, Abby and Zoey were twins this day. They look so cute in the outfits that Grandma got them. Zoey comes over to play frequently and we love it.

Here is Micah eating some noodles. I thought it was so funny how he was trying to eat and the noodle was stretched all the way from the plate to his mouth. It's a good thing I got a new camera. I definitely wouldn't have caught this moment with my old one.

Here are Micah and Abby in the swimming pool. They had so much fun. I wish I had a better picture of both of their faces. They laughed and smiled so much it made my face ache just watching them. :)

Our very nice neighbors let us put their "little kids" trampoline in our yard for a few days. It's bigger than an exercise trampoline, but smaller than a full-size one. It's only about 2 feet high, so Micah can climb on and off it easily. Micah and Abby both love it and we have spent tons of time out there. The following pics were taken just this morning.

Doesn't Abby have the cutest smile? It's a combination of daddy and Grandpa Dunn.

Here's Micah sitting on the edge of the tramp. He kept going back and forth between the trampoline and the swimming pool.

I'm getting nervous for when the day comes that we have to give the trampoline back. Micah has enjoyed it so much.

Micah was so sweet with Abby this morning. He picked a dandelion and brought it over to her. He said, "A flower for you, Abby!"
