Smarty Pants
Micah is a smarty pants. Today, when I picked him up from preschool, his teacher told me that at snack time, Micah was teaching all the kids how to say, "eat" and "thank you" in sign language. I taught Micah some signs when he was a baby, and now I am teaching them to Abby. Micah loves it and helps me teach Abby. I just thought this was so cute and that our blog readers would get a kick out of it too.

Bear Heath Garner
Micah says the cutest things. When you ask him his name, he will proudly exclaim, "Micah Heath Garner"! Well, the other day, he was carrying this teddy bear all over, so I asked him if his bear had a name. He looked at me, thought for a second and said, "Bear Heath Garner"!
Here is a picture of Micah with Bear Heath Garner.
This is a picture of one of the projects Micah made at Preschool. It is a picture of a large hand and then he painted his own hand, so that it looks like his hand is on top of the larger hand. He made it for Heath for Father's Day. He was so proud of it that he gave it to Heath the day he made it. He just couldn't wait until Father's Day.
I know this isn't a very good picture, but I just had to post it because it is so cute. This is a picture of a bookmark Micah made in nursery. He gave it to Heath for Father's Day. Seeing Micah make these cute little things and get so excited about them is really cute.
Here is Abby posing for a picture. She was particularly smiley this day, so I had to snap a shot. Doesn't she have the cutest smile and the most beautiful blue eyes?
We had a load of top soil brought in so we could put in a garden. We let Micah play in it for a couple of days before Heath spread it onto the garden. He had so much fun playing in the dirt. He would go from the dirt to the swimming pool to the trampoline over and over again. He loves playing outside and has been out so much this summer that he looks like a little Indian. He is so dark and tan.Monday, June 16, 2008
Micah's First Day of Pre-school & Abby is a Fashionista!
Micah started preschool last week. He goes twice a week, on Tuesday's and Thursday's. His teacher is Miss Stephanie and he loves her!. Last week, Micah learned about Father's Day and Flag Day. Each day, he came home with cute little projects that he had made. He was so proud of them. As we drove home each day, Micah would tell me about his day and all the fun things he had done. He loves it so much that he wakes up every day and asks to go to school.
Here is a picture I took just before we left for Micah's first day. I can't believe my baby is 3-years-old and is going to preschool. When I dropped him off the first day, I got a little teary. I was so excited for him to have the opportunity, but it got to me that he's growing up and doing things on his own. If I had this hard of a time with preschool, I don't even want to think about Kindergarten. :)
Abby and Grandpa. Abby definitely has grandpa's chin.

I just love this picture. Too cute!
Abby and Grandma. This picture, as well as the ones with grandpa, were taken last week just before they left to go back to Annabella. Abby and Micah were so sad to see them go.
Every time I dress Abby in something new, I think it's her cutest outfit. She has so many clothes and looks adorable in all of them. Here are a few pics of our little Fashionista, Abigail Valerie Garner.
Lauren took this picture last weekend. Can you believe how cute Abby is? Thanks, Lauren for capturing this moment with your amazing eye.

Adorable! Heath thinks this picture gives us a glimpse of what Abby will look like as she grows up.

We've Been Having Lots of Fun!
Sorry it's been so long since I've updated our blog. I didn't realize that it had been so long since my last update. I got an email from a friend in Seattle telling me that she checks our blog everyday and that she was getting anxious to see some new pics. So, these are for her! We're so glad to have such good friends and family that take the time to read our blog. Now, if we could just get a few of you to sign the guestbook. :)
We went to Rexburg, ID over Memorial Day weekend to visit Heath's side of the family. It was a really nice trip, but it rained the whole time. Heath was really looking forward to golfing with his brothers and dad, but they ended up getting rained out. It was still fun getting to visit with family. Micah and Abby had a blast too.
Here is a picture of Abby playing in the Lego wagon. She loved being pulled around in this thing.
Here are Micah and Ethan watching a movie. As you can see, they are both in their pajamas. I think this picture was taken close to 10:00 p.m. and they were still going strong.
This is uncle Jeremy. He's a great uncle and he is really good to Micah and Ethan. Micah calls him, "Mermy."
Here is Abby in the new outfit that Gammy got her. She looks cute in everything, but we thought this outfit was especially cute on her.

Micah and Jeremy. It's a good thing Jeremy is patient.

Here are Micah, Abby and Zoey. As you can see, Abby and Zoey were twins this day. They look so cute in the outfits that Grandma got them. Zoey comes over to play frequently and we love it.

Here is Micah eating some noodles. I thought it was so funny how he was trying to eat and the noodle was stretched all the way from the plate to his mouth. It's a good thing I got a new camera. I definitely wouldn't have caught this moment with my old one.

Here are Micah and Abby in the swimming pool. They had so much fun. I wish I had a better picture of both of their faces. They laughed and smiled so much it made my face ache just watching them. :)

Our very nice neighbors let us put their "little kids" trampoline in our yard for a few days. It's bigger than an exercise trampoline, but smaller than a full-size one. It's only about 2 feet high, so Micah can climb on and off it easily. Micah and Abby both love it and we have spent tons of time out there. The following pics were taken just this morning.

Best Friends & Abby Loves Prunes
Abby and Micah are really good friends. My favorite part of everyday is watching them play together. Abby is becoming more and more interactive and Micah loves it. He knows that he can make her laugh and he does it frequently. Here are a few pictures of them playing together the other day.
Abby smiling for the camera. Notice the green and brown army guys laying on the floor. We play army guys quite a bit and every time, Micah takes the "green guys" and gives Abby the brown ones. It's so funny how he loves green things.
Micah showing Abby how helicopters fly. You can't tell very well from the pic, but Micah is actually holding the helicopter with a pair of kitchen tongs. For some reason, he loves those tongs. He gets them out of the drawer every single morning. Notice how Abby is enjoying every minute of her big brother's lesson.
Abby loves to eat! She especially likes prunes. Here she is with prunes all over her face. When she's ready to eat, she will look up at me and hold her mouth open. She will then makes cute little sounds, wave her arms, and kick her feet really fast. We call that the "hungry dance" or the "happy dance".Monday, May 12, 2008
Cute Kids
I know I say it all the time, but aren't my kids the cutest? They are very good friends too, which makes me really happy. Abby is sitting up now, so she and Micah will sit and play with toys together. It's really quite cute.
Here is Abby and her new friend. Last week, I took the kids and we went to my mom and dad's for a few days. While we were there, they got spoiled. My mom gave Abby this penguin toy and she loves it. She bats at it and it plays music when she hits it. She giggles and squeals with joy each time she hits it just right. In this pic, you can see that Abby is pretty good at sitting up now. She does get a little wobbly, but for the most part, she can sit and play for quite some time.
Micah got these cool sunglasses from Zoey's 2nd birthday party. Uncle Cory & Aunt Danae know how much he loves the color green, so they made sure that he got the green ones. Well, Micah loves the glasses and wears them around the house all the time.
After Zoey's birthday party, we took the kids to the park. Micah loves parks and had a great time. Here he is riding the big green dinosaur.Thursday, May 1, 2008
Pictures, Pictures, and More Pictures!
I started Abby on cereals about a month ago, and she has done really well. Last nite, I was eating some strawberries and I bit off a tiny, tiny piece and gave it to Abby. She loved it! She couldn't get enough. She kept opening her little mouth and grabbing my hand. I gave her quite a few before I had to cut her off. I wanted to make sure that her stomach could handle the acidity of the berries. Anyway, she was fine this morning, so I decided that since she is 7 months old today, it would be a good day to start her on other foods. So, I got her some carrots and she loved them. Here is a picture of her mid-feeding.
Here is a picture of Abby playing on the floor in Micah's room. She loves to be on the floor where she can roll all over the place. She pushes herself up onto her hands and knees sometimes, but doesn't know quite what to do next.
Here is Micah with his brand new Escalade. Gammy & Uncle Ian came down last week and brought it for Micah. He loves it and pushes it all over the house.
Last week, I got out some of Abby's new summer clothes and was trying them on her. I told Micah that we were playing "dress up." Well, he wanted to play too, so I told him to get some of his clothes to put on. This is what he ended up with- a Bob the Builder t-shirt and Lightning McQueen swim trunks. Those of you that know me, know that I'm not fond of mixing themes, so this is definitely not an outfit that Micah would be allowed to wear outside the house, but I thought it was pretty cute considering the fact that not only did he pick it out all by himself, but he completely dressed himself too.

Micah is very protective of Abby and she absolutely adores Micah. She watches every moves he makes and even makes noises when she wants his attention. They are 2 1/2 years apart, but I think they are going to be good friends as they grow up.
