Tuesday was Micah's first day of pre-school. He actually went to pre-school all summer, but it was more of a day camp program where they mostly did guided play, arts, crafts, water projects, nature walks, etc. Micah had a blast all summer and was really excited to do "real pre-school".
When I dropped off Micah the first day, there was a little boy crying. Micah's teacher knows him well after having him all summer, and asked him to help this little boy feel more comfortable. So, sweet little Micah walked right over to hm, grabbed his hand and said, "Come on, Max." Then, he led the boy over to a train set and started playing. I was there and saw the whole thing, and I have to say that I was very proud.
Here is a picture I took just as we were leaving to go to school on Tuesday. Notice Micah's back pack. Normally, he loves it. It has Thomas the Tank Engine on it. When he got to school though, there was a boy who had a Buzz Lightyear back pack. Apparently, Micah fell in love with it and wanted it. So, when school was over and the kids were all getting ready to go home, Micah put the Buzz Lightyear back pack on. The boy that actually owned the back pack was a bit confused and tried to take it from Micah, but Micah had a solution to the problem. He gave the boy his Thomas back pack. He thought they should just trade. Even though Micah thought it was a great idea, the other boy didn't and eventually, Micah gave the Buzz Lightyear back pack back.
Micah loves to make brownies. I think his favorite part though is licking the spoon afterward.
Last week, our neighborhood had a "Fun Sale." Some of the older kids (10-12) did face painting. Micah wasn't so sure about letting someone paint on his face until the boy told him he would do the Superman logo. That was all it took and then Micah was all for it. He loved it so much, I had to force him into the tub to wash it off. He would have kept it on his face all week, had I let him.
Awhile back, we had spaghetti for dinner. Most of our readers probably know that Micah is an extremely picky eater. He would not eat the spaghetti. Instead, he made himself something he liked more- a noodle sandwich. He took the spaghetti noodles and sandwiched them between two Ritz crackers. He actually ate it too.

Abby loves to play. She especially loves to play in the kitchen where she can climb in the pots and pans drawer under the stove. Doesn't she look proud of herself?
Here is Abby playing in her closet. She loves to take every single toy out of the toy box. Now, if I could just get her to put them back in.
Just a cute picture. I can't believe that my baby will be one in just a few weeks.
This weekend, Micah and Heath went to Rexburg, while Abby and I stayed home to get some serious cleaning done. It was fun to spend some quality time with Abby. We mostly played on the floor, but Abby smiled and laughed a lot. There is just something so sweet about her laugh. Later in the day however, as I was cleaning, I noticed that Abby kept crawling into Micah's room. She would go in there, crawl around and then come back out. I think she was looking for him. It's only been a day, but I think she has missed Micah (and daddy) just as much as I have.
I almost forgot, our family got a new cousin this week. Cory and Danae had their baby on September 1st (yep, she was in labor on Labor Day). Colston Cory Dunn is the newest member of the family. He was 7 lbs. 12 oz. and 21 inches long. He has Cory's dark complexion and dark, kind of curly hair. Micah is especially excited about it. The other day, we saw a commercial on tv and there was a baby in it. Micah jumped up and said, "That's baby Colston!"
