Another Cute Story about Micah

I have been transitioning Abby to her crib, in her own room. Let's just say it has not gone smoothly. Abby is very attached to me and doesn't like it when she can't see me. Anyway, I put her in her crib the other day and after about 10 minutes, she started crying. I was in the kitchen and decided that I would let her cry for 2 minutes and then go pick her up, if she hadn't stopped by then. I could hear Micah talking, so I went to the Master Bedroom where Micah was sitting on the bed, talking into the baby monitor. He was saying, "It's okay, Abby. Go to sleep." He said it about three times before he noticed I was standing there. It was so cute that he was trying to calm Abby. Then, the next day, Abby was again in her crib. I was in the kitchen and turned on the garbage disposal. Micah came running into the kitchen and yelled, "Mommy, be quiet! Abby's sleeping!" I laughed so hard. Micah is a very sweet little boy and was concerned that Abby wouldn't be able to sleep because I was making too much noise.

What a joy it is to be able to be home with Micah and Abby every day. They are handful, but so worth it. :)

Our Cute Little Micah

Here is a funny story for you all.... Heath took Micah to Albertson's the other day to buy some lemons. As they walked in the store, the automatic door opened up for them. Our cute little Micah politely said, "Thank you door." As they proceeded to the produce section, Micah got excited when he saw the apples. He ran right up to them, picked one up and said, "Yummy! Apples." He then tried to take a bite out of it before Heath got it away from him. Needles to say, an ordinary trip to the store to buy lemons turned into a very fun experience.

Lots & Lots of Pictures

Okay, I know it's been too long since I've updated this, so I'm just going to post tons of pics. I will write a little note under each one though, so you can see what's been going on in the Garner household. :)
Here is a picture of Abby. You can just feel her sweetness when you look at this picture. Abby is an absolute angel and is just as sweet as she looks. She weighs 11 lbs. now and is 23.5 inches long.

This is Gammy Garner. In this picture she is doing two of her favorite things- holding Abby and rocking in a rocking chair. Those of you who know gammy know how much she loves both of them. :)
This is Abby and Grandpa Dunn. Grandpa seems to have just the right touch with Abby because everytime he holds her, she has this grin on her face. They say that babies can feel goodness. I think that's definitely true.

One of Micah's favorite things to do is play in the sink. He loves to fill up bowls and cups of water and tell me that he is making soup. It does make a mess, but hey, what fun is life if you can't make a mess every once-in-a-while?
Another one of Micah's favorite things to do is take a nice bubble bath. You can barely see his cute, little, head sticking out over the bubbles in this shot.
Christmas was a blast this year! I think it was because Micah really got into it and you could actually get him to behave better just by telling him that if he wasn't nice, Santa wouldn't come.

My dad dressed up as Santa on Christmas Eve and visited us. He brought sacks of candy for everyone (myself, Heath, Micah, Abby, Cory, Danae, Zoey, Beau, Lane, and Grandma Dunn). It was so fun to see the look on Micah's face when Santa came down the stairs and into the family room. He had a great time sitting on Santa's lap and telling him that he wanted "cars" for Christmas.

Abby didn't seem too affected by Christmas. She was very cute though. Above is a pic of Micah and Abby in their Christmas jammies. Micah got Spider Man and Abby got cute red and white striped ones.

Micah loved opening his presents (and everyone elses). If there was a toy under the wrapping, he was thrilled. If it was clothes, he didn't want much to do with it.
Every kids gets into their mother's make-up. What is interesting about this picture though is that aside from the lipstick, Micah also has cover stick under his eyes. He has seen me do the make-up routine so many times, that he actually knows where each cosmetic goes. Sometimes I don't realize just how observant he is.

This is a picture of Abby in one of her Christmas dresses (thank you Gammy & Popi). She looked so pretty. We had people stopping us in church to tell us what a pretty baby we have. Of course, we know that, but we never get tired of hearing it. :)
