Playing in the Snow

The other day was especially stressful, so I decided that we needed to get out of the house and do something fun. The kids had been wanting to go outside, so we bundled up and played in the snow. It was a blast! We played outside for about an hour and a half. Abby was yawning and rubbing her eyes, so I decided it was time to come in and put her down for a nap. That was soooo not the right thing to do! She threw the biggest fit she has ever thrown. She did not want to come in. She fell on the floor, screaming "No mommy!" over and over again. Getting her boots off her was a nightmare. She kicked and screamed like crazy. I finally just let her wander the house in her full snow garb, thinking she would eventually get hot and want out of it on her own. No such luck. She was determined to keep it on until she could go outside again.
Anyway, here are some pics of our fun little snow outing.

All ready to go!
I pulled Abby in the sled first. She loved it!

Micah's turn on the sled. I think this picture speaks volumes as to how much fun he was having.

Micah was obsessed with making snow angels. I think he made at least 10 of them.

A perspective shot. :)

Abby thought it would be fun to dig in the snow with Micah's golf club.

Micah got stuck. He was confused as to how to get himself out.

Abby thought it would be fun to stick her face in the snow. She quickly discovered she did not like it. :)

Can you see the look of disgust on her face?

Abby looked so small sometimes.

I asked Micah if he was making yet another snow angel and he said, "No, I just need a little rest."

We finished our fun in the back yard. The kids had a blast jumping on the snow covered trampoline. Micah laughed hysterically as the snow came loose and fell on the ground when they jumped.
